Не кино, но хобби. Мои частые порывы писать также часто заканчиваются художественными сценариями. Иногда всё складывается, люди находятся, и мы снимаем видео, которое не стыдно показать тут, снабдив маленькой аннотацией, чтобы была глубина. Всё остальное можно найти в моём профиле youtube. Там тоже не стыдно, но без аннотаций. 
I make music videos as well as other videos. I admit that often I limit myself with script writing only. And then of course I send script to my friends to brag and invite them over to discuss something completely different. But sometimes everything goes together - music inspire, people gather around and it just flows well. Everything that doesn't flow well stays on my youtube channel, but some of my favorite videos I list here with annotations just to give you some insight. Because sometimes I feel this way. Today for example.

Наш роудтрип в переосмыслении композиции Когда я проснусь. То, что могло стать приятным дополнением к путешествию по Европе, после монтажа стало символом образа жизни и комплиментом в адрес тех, кто оказался в кадре. А финальные кадры вообще стали манифестом в этом жёстком мире, где ценится целеустремлённость и напряжённость. Встретимся по ту сторону горы, пупсики!

Фейсбук не даст соврать - почти два года назад мы собрались в Таллинне, чтобы обсудить создание совместного проекта. Мой близкий и давний друг Aleksei Kuznetsov решил, что он дорос для того, чтобы написать и зачитать текст, за который ему будет не стыдно, Sergei Nemaier обещал свести читку Лёши со своей музыкой так, чтобы уже Сергею не было стыдно. Я же обещал сходить к психотерапевту, потому что мне вообще всегда стыдно. А Konstantin NeverOff обещал просто быть.
The banana theory is a story of a young woman who found that choices she makes in her life rely on one simple thing. And resolving the issue with buying the bananas led her to  a more significant change in her life.
I've heard this story in a cafe and was so excited by the storyteller and the story itself, that promised myself that I will make a video. This led me to a new friendship, new way of filming and new adventures.

Grown up, alive and not afraid (Liels un dzīvs un nebaidos) - the phrase from the song of Ansambils Manta, which inspired the initial idea of this video, while giving some inspiration still today. The becoming of a man through growing up with a mother, running, symbolic dance of a grown-up man, and finally acceptance of eld and death. There are three generations of my family in the video, including my son and grandfather. As well as caring hands of Anna.

In 2010 everyone was talking about Lizstomania phenomena - the way different social groups interact using a creative visual template, inviting each other for this cross-cultural exchange,  igniting the ideas of fair use of any commercial product available (more on that here). For us though it was a wonderful social experience and a great chance to frame our youth with a fast changing Riga on a background.
Planning, casting and filming were chaotic, editing was fierce, heavy filtering implied. Sweet memories preserved.
I still think it was the best early morning ever.
Buz Luhrman's "Sunscreen" was aired when I was 14. Since then I was dreaming not only to live my life according to this song but also make my own version of it.
It was translated and recorded with the help of my good friends. While the filming involved more than 100 friends, representing their own personal statement in the shot which correlates with the text of the song - i like being difficult and metaphorical.
It never was going to be huge, but for me it is a snapshot of my life and a way to look inside me, being a projection of many others. More on that project here.
Great random things come in huge. Originally, it was a suprise video with the name Delilah sounded just like Julay Jah - our close friend who was celebrating her 19th anniversary.
The original idea was just not to work that day. We managed to this as well as get dressed well and performed over edge of our abilities (especially the pink bear). This video inspired our future collaboration and friendship with the pink bear Nikita.   
Мой первый (и, видимо, последний) саспенс в кадре. Почти корпоративный, но всё же очень личный проект, где все друзья. Впервые снимал после долгого планирования, кадроплана, съёмочного плана и других аттрибутов взрослой жизни. Так как именно съёмка мне даётся сложнее всего,  понравилось, что при правильной подготовке съёмки проходят быстро и почти безболезненно. А дальше любимый монтаж, остнованный на темпо-ритме, и более-менее продуманная история. С новым годом что ли...
Being a child is to have a courage to dream. Since my son is born I was always looking in to his eyes to catch the moment where reality meets day dreaming, where sticks in his hands become powerful magic wands, and the blanket turns into the body of his spaceship.
Child takes away parent's sharpness, but gives us an excuse to day dream with him. And I'm using this chance once again.
Thank you. 
Runaway. Spontaneous, crazy. Without a plan and fixed checkpoints. This video is a symbol of a certain era in my life. Where wind opens your door, run through your head and disappear behind the window.
This not a contradiction to me today. It is an experience and basis for future buildup.

Эксперимент с foodporn, который стоит признать успешным даже потому, что мне потом удалось всё это поесть. Первое промо видео для моего друга, которое даже без правильного света, без многочисленных сло-мо и ракурсов вызывает приступ гурманства и бонвиванства.
Наш офис на некоторое время заболел футболом. А мне пришлось искать в этом место для смешных историй. Благо, мой телефон оказался рядом.​​
I am an VW Lupo fan. This means 4L per 100 kilometers an always free parking place where nobody can squeeze in.
But for me things are more complex. Originally, I was planning to shoot a video of bobsleigh team running my car past the gas station. We never did that, but we had a lot of fun filming this one.
The original lyrics from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, some spontaneous footage and voila!
This was made a teaser for some project, and as always the teaser is much better than anything we did that day.

Smoke machine. It was a smoke machine plugged in to the nearby construction site power grid. Another question is how we managed to get a smoke machine and electricity for this kind of activity? I guess we are talented after all.
By the way this was the only video I was proposed to get payed for. I refused. Viva la Cuba! And vacations.
Dance. Even if you don't have a place to do it except for your bathroom. Limits are in your head. And certainly not in our budget for this kind of filming.
That night I remember myself trying to escape people, then, finding myself all alone, I was escaping myself, just to find this urban jungle sight.
My trip to San Francisco ended on the ocean shore with my friend from Canada. Completely random experience with a lot to think about while dying and living again in my existential search.
